She is also the resource person for leadership programmes for CBSE, TERI and Oxford Press University and a mentor for British Council Global Teacher Accreditation Trainer in core skills as well as for CBSE training programme in management and for Oxford Press University for training programme in curriculum planning.
The lead principal for Google Educational Technology group in Bangalore, she also is a panelist for AIR and Doordarshan for discussion on education, women & psychology. She has published articles on education, environment, woman issues & psychology in newspaper & journals. A seasoned educator and student counselor with over 20 years as Principal of Army Public School and a run adventure sports enthusiast, she is a passionate environmentalist and works closely with differentially abled and under privileged children. She serves as a mentor for emotionally distressed and is a consultant for Federation for welfare of mentally challenged.
She was granted the UNESCO grant for Gandhian Studies by the President of India and has been awarded the Army chief commendation card for exceptional educator and Vice Chief of the Army Commendation Card for exemplary service to Defence Service in the field of Education. She is the principal part of national accreditation policy frame work and has been nominated outstanding educator worldwide & given privilege to nominate exceptional students for the global young leader's conference at New York and Washington DC. She is also the recipient of the National value award (HRD ministry) for exemplary work in inculcated value among youth. A Post Graduate from Aligarh University, specialized in English Language and Literature, Ramya has a passion for Learning and Teaching and likes to experiment with varied styles of learning for effective teaching. Coming from a Defence background, she is a stickler for discipline.
With over seventeen years of service and experience in teaching and training in schools ranging from Army Public Schools and renowned Private Schools, she is a go getter in being able to generate independent thoughts and integrating curriculum with individual student need. Her creative self is portrayed in her love for writing poems and she instills the same in her students. At Little Buddy Kindergarten the curriculum is designed and implemented by her. She firmly believes in dreams and loves making learning a challenging and fun-loving endeavor.
